Timeline: 1701 - Earliest known date of existence. I also found 1850. 1701 granted to William Lashley. Subsequent owners were Richard Wright, Robert Wright, Thomas Shubrick. 1768 - The land was sold to Dr. James Skirving. 1770 - Elizabeth and Philip Smith. 1786 - Philip Skirving Smith. 1796 - Philip Skirving Smith, Jr. 1849 - Philip Smith Price. 1866 - Marie P. E. Price 1906 - Marie Price Farmers children sold to the E.P. Burton Lumber Company. The E.P. Burton Lumber Company also bought Cow Pen Point, Chapman Fort, Palmetto Island and Smyly Plantations which were grouped together under the name of Airy Hall. 1907 - E.P. Burton Lumber Company sold to William Godfrey, John W. Maynard and James P. Maynard. 1911 - Sold to A. E. Gonzales. 1917 - Sold to J. H. Paschall. ? - Sold to the Chehaw Land and Cattle Company. ? - Sold to the Ashepoo Land and Cattle Company. ? - Sold to L. H. Smith. 1928 - Sold to Robert G. Elbert.. Charleston Magazine Feb-Mar 1992 speaks of 1,600 acres plantation , Airy Hall, belonging to Frankie and Buck Limehouse purchased 1979. 1995 - Shows Airy Hall owned by Mr and Mrs. Harry Bancroft Limehouse.

Buildings: It is believed that the original house was built in 1880 but what happened to it is unknown. It is known that a house was built in 1928 by Robert B. Elbert.
