Location Edisto River (located one mile west of SC 174 on Parkers Ferry Road), Charleston County
Plantation Details

The earliest known date of existence is 1790.  The plantation house was build by the Baynard family.  In 1845 the house was built. by Edward Barnward and burned in 1865.  In 1878, the house was rebuilt. At the time, Hutton obtained the property and the house was inhabited by the plantations caretaker.  Hutton built a new house for his family.

  Currently: Most of the land is owned by McLeod Lumber Company. The rest is privately owned.
